Nissan 370Z MY10 Cruise Control not setting at the desired speed

I found this issue just yesterday, this is the first time I am testing the cruise control option. My CC want engaged at the desired speed I want to set.

The CC CRUISE light comes up and it's not blinking, the CRUISE light stays on firmly. So this suggests there is no issue with the cruise control function as stated on the manual (if it's blinking then contact Nissan dealer), but when I try to set the speed for the cruise mode it would not set to the speed. I followed the procedure in setting the CC speed mode.

Is this an Option that is not available on the models for Australia and New Zealand ?

I saw somewhere that the windows has to be closed for the CC to get engaged, is this correct

A reply is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mihiri

Every car has the cruise control option. I struggling to engage the cruise control mode in my Nissan 370Z MY10.

When you turn CC on a CRUISE light comes on. When you turn it off, the CRUISE light goes off. When you set a cruise speed, nothing happens. When you cancel a cruise speed, nothing happens.

The Manual says, the SET light should come up when the CC mode is engaged. But there is no SET light comes or the cruise speed doesn't get set.

I am curious if this is an issue with the CC system or a common feature in models in Australia.

I will be surprised if we can't set a CC speed on Nissan 370Z.

There is no indicator when the CC is set other than your car won't slow down. There is no "set" light on the 370z. I have set the CC while the windows were open before.

My guess is that you are not using the set/increase lever button correctly. Push the button lever down (not in) to set and up to increase.
If that's not the problem, then I suspect the ASCD Brake Switch is faulty or misaligned.

There is no "set" light; only the "system on" light.

I'm not sure, but I think all 370Zs have ASCD (Nissanese for cruise control).

I can set my cruise with the windows down.
