OIL PROB in Australia??

Hi All....I think it is better to put this on a seperate thread for AUS/NZ people.

I am just wondering does any of you guys know if the Australian model comes with an oil cooler? I've been told by the dealers that an oil cooler is installed, but I wanted to clarify this.

I mean this prob mite not affect normal everyday driving but it really bothers me when I know this prob exists without a cooler.

Thanks in advance

If any 370z was fitted with a cooler Im sure it would be in the States first... I haven't heard of any being fitted with a cooler yet (Nissan hasn't even got one available) I think the dealers are just trying to make a sale...

One of the dealer is so confident said his willing to ask a mechanic to show me the cooler. I was really hoping he told the truth and maybe our model are really different to the US since different places gets different specs.

However, I remember reading from Wheels mag and drive.com.au that manuals have clutch probs and an auto that's been tested in Aus went into home limp mode. Therefore, I am pretty confident our models also have the same overheating prob to the US.

The only cooler on the front of the car should be the small power steering cooler. Ask him to have the mechanic show it to you on the lift.

Wouldn't it be ironic though if they really did get an oil cooler? I mean, considering that they don't get the 19" Rays wheels. "Here, we won't give you the cool rims, but we'll give you an oil cooler!"

I guess the dealer is prolly going to show me the power steering cooler just to get me into the shop to have a chance to sell me the car. I am not going to waste my time.

I hope if there are enough owners complain about the problem Nissan mite establish a call back on the 370s with extra cooler installed.

Safer to wait for the 2010 model I guess. By that time I mite have my eyes on something else.

Haha yes that would be quite funny. I'm not sure what the marketing department are smoking.

Yeah no chance in hell they'd give us the cooler before America. Unless they wanted to test it out on us first lol...

Do we actually know if this Oil temp issue is confirmed for hard street driving or just track days? If it proves to be an issue, I would think Nissan would recall the cars and fit a cooler.

Maybe we do get a cooler here in Oz...after all it was 46deg this Summer in cold Melbourne! :)

( thats 114.8F for the yanks stuck in the imperial days :P )
