North Melb Nissan Service Centre CLOSED!

So i tried to book in my 1000kms this morn only to be told they have closed as of last wed!!... I was told they couldnt afford the rent there any more!!

did a search on google and look what this guy wrote on another forum

If anyone (like me!) uses the City Motors North Melbourne Hyundai/Nissan Service Centre, you are going to have to look for a new place to get your vehicle serviced.....

I dropped in this morning at around 8:00 to get the guys to have a look at my Terracan after the Lake Eyre trip and while I was filling in the paperwork three suits came in and called a meeting of all staff.

Three minutes later the staff are all looking shell shocked and the roller doors start coming down. My service agent came up to me and said the accountants had closed the place down and I should jump in my car and get out while I could!

There were a large number of vehicles on hoists and with major bits pulled out for service and repair scattered around the building so I do not know what will happen to them. As I drove out the roller door closed behind me.

This is bad news not only for the staff, but also for those of us who have been getting our cars serviced there for years. Now I have to find somewhere else I trust to take it to!

Bummer!

Well that sux!! would have been convenient as its on the way to work!... guess i'll have to go somewhere else!! :(

Is there an alternative close to the city?

Be aware that City Nissan's website is still up and running! But it is not responding to contact enquiries.

As usual, I completed an online service booking for my Nissan Patrol for this morning, rolled up and waited for the roller door to open at 7.30am. Still there at 7.50 - a mechanic from a nearby service centre bothered to stop and inform me that this service centre was closed.

Very poor form not to inform their loyal customers of the change. City Motors (if they still exist?) certainly aren't endearing themselves to past customers and cannot expect them to go back there to purchase a new vehicle when they are given this sort of treatment!

Not happy.
