Stillen Exhaust
Hi everyone,
I recently picked up my 2010 370z and have been looking at buying a Stillen exhaust from the US: STILLEN : STILLEN 370Z Dual Exhaust System Has anyone in Oz purchased and installed this system? Was there any issues with the fitment? Comments on performance/sound? Anyone interested in another group buy? Look forward to catching up on the next melb criuse. |
I'm interest in the stillen ap bbk maybe we can get together and save pk shipping
|
From doing hours of homework.
The feed back is it sounds good however the tips stick out funny. A bloke in Melbourne has it. Also I cant say I'm a fan of exhaust clamps which the stillen system uses 2 or 3. But each to there own. |
I ordered and installed the Stillen dual catback exhaust, and I love it. The tips do stick out quite a bit further than stock, but I don't mind at all...I'm sure there's a way to move them back if you want. You can noticeably tell a difference in power, gaining about 15 hp. I also got the Stillen G3 dual intakes installed and it is a great combination in gaining power and sound.

Yes I will try and take some pictures and post them up in a few hours.
|
Also, I did not have any issues at all with the install. I had my local Maxi Muffler shop install them while I watched the whole time, it took them about 45 minutes total to uninstall my stock exhaust and put the Stillen on. I will also measure the diameter of the pipes and post that up too.
How do you post pictures on here again? I've actually never done it. |
I have the Stillen exhaust. Don't worry about the tips sticking out. You can adjust the muffler location on the rubber hangers to change where the tips end up (thank Stillen for those slip joints for this reason). My tips are flush with the rear fascia. I love the look of the 4" tips. The sound is awesome when you add high flow cats, so consider adding them as well.
I have some pics of the exhaust around here somewhere...just search for Stillen Catback Review and look for my post. |
i love mine and so do most who see/hear it... i have test pipes

Yeah I defiantly come oh and btw if we going to group buy I wanna buy the bbk so keep us informed .
|
Tao, you're in templestowe? I am too lol
Also yeah I have the Stillen exhaust, I think it's great, not too loud, although I have berk cats too which do make it louder than normal... I Did have fittment issues with the centre pipes hitting the crossmember in the beginning, but we used a jack stand to hold the piping up while we tightened the bolts and it is sitting perfectly now. |

Don't think ill make it sunday, we ran the car on the road today water temp and oil temp was way to high during idle going to relocate the water pump, cause we think that's causing the high oil temp
|

|
Dont know if should post this stuff here but at least its for ppl in melbourne.
i am from an engineering and sound background. All the bose stuff will be out in due course. will replace with valve (tube) equipment designed by the famous Dave Ulbrick and myself and decent subs etc. |

Perhaps u should make the cruise the 3rd July.... just for me :) hahahah and ill just ride in the TT with Tao to keep an eye on his oil temps. hahahha :hello: |
I have had my car for 2 weeks now and I see temps ranging from 90-110 degrees depending on driving, traffic and weather conditions.
I would really like to install an oil cooler but dont want to void the 3 year warranty. I dont understand how nissan have designed a naturally aspirated car that can overheat, it really is unacceptable. I have an evo 8 and after all the track days I have been too it has never overheated. It does have an oil cooler from factory but the car is also turbo charged which would produce way more heat. |

Oh and thanks for cruising without me in the country.... how quickly you all forget about me...... sigh |
