More 2010 370Z AU changes...
Im gonna post the things I find different and worth mentioning compared to my 2009 370Z.
Believe it or not, the pocket behind the seat(s) is no longer there! No space for my Manual anymore :( I also can't remember the old Z exactly, but the material behind the seat is now a furry Grey material. |
The Sat Nav is definately updated. I've only had the car a few hours but I haven't noticed any red light notifications yet.
There are funky icons telling me of fuel, food places etc that appear near each turn that I need to make. |
congrats man...
finally your new baby... don't teach this one to swim... =) |

I also picked up my Z this afternoon. |
Thanks guys :)
Congrats to you too CHZ! |
The Start Button has printed on it:
START STOP Engine |
The muffler looks to be made from a different shinier metal than the MY09's muffler.

Does the exhaust sound any different? Cheers, KS |
Ronnie time for you to burn up the updated nav cd ;p

X 2
Burn! |
yeah and post the iso up =) though it sounds like it's a mission trying to get to the dvd unit behind the seat to install the thing
|
The Nav DVD is an Updated version - no 16 - & it's quite simple to get to it, just pull the fold down pocket (behind the drivers seat) as far down as it will go & then pull it towards you - its a bit like the fitting on the sun visor it just clips in - then all you need is a flat blade screwdriver to remove the cover in front of the DVD player....Simple really!!

Evan did mention to Darren that it sounded different.... |

If i were to hypothetically do it, Darren said that it might brick your Nav... Who's gonna be the Guinea Piggy? |
I've just done a round trip to Taree & back in the last 3 days - stayed at Port Macquarie Sat & Sunday nights & did a trip to Taree for lunch on Sunday, got back at 3pm this arvo - with 2005 k's on the dial - I think I've just completed my run-in period.... Goes in for her first service at 8.00 am tomorrow, trip went like a dream - had to kiss 5000 revs a couple of times but did it gently.... Never missed a beat...!! The 370Z is a dream machine......!! All praise be to NISSAN...

I'll still try it! |
I'll try it lol... There won't be any chance of bricking it.
Like every other device, the firmware will be loaded onto the unit via a different method (ie. not just putting in the map DVD and turning it on). The DVD will only contain the maps for the unit. So this one will just be the updated version of the current maps. The new firmware would be nice though too....... I don't think it'll be possible though, from what I've read elsewhere the nav units are now different, so most likely will have different version codes.... |

I'm not 100% sure about the extra option as I didn't have my Old z for awhile... |

Stop following me around, I went up to Port Macquarie on the weekend also. Stayed up on Saturday night at The Observatory in Williams street. I was thinking how many 370s call Port home. So, on Saturday there were two extras for the night. I had a smooth trip up and back except for the 80kph construction zone up to Heron Creek. Like you I have my service reminders up for the 1000k service, unlike you I will book in later for the Nissan trained tech to wipe his greasy hands all over the car and take it for a quick burn around the block.:shakes head: Termac |
