Aside from hacking the oem system to allow aux while moving so you can pipe in the phone feed, you could always get an audio shop to make a clean tablet holder setup that will hold your tablet in front of the navi screen... set it on bluetooth and nevermind the old unless you are farting around w the a/c a lot...
I dont know if a screen delete will affect the setup, but would also be a great option to mount a tab in this place, assuming its FM radio capable as most new Samsung phones are... Obviously a non navi option with navi trim is optimal,... I've been scratching my head on this one for a while... I may just play around w a screen delete and bite the bullet |
So in the year 2020 it’s STILL impossible to replace my factory Nav/Bose unit and not lose climate control functionality and other things? It seems to me that these head unit makers make extra modules that restore these functions! My friend put a Kenwood unit in his Charger and had to purchase an optional module along with it to restore climate control functions and steering wheel controls. No one makes this for damn 370Z?? This is so crazy to me.

I developed a custom interface to allow the non-navi AC controls to work with the Navi based AC system for a plug-n-play conversion. Both options allow for any aftermarket stereo to be installed. I have not read about any failings with the non-navi AC AMP conversion, although its much more invasive. I have been running my custom solution for months without issues and will be sharing the github repo soon for those interested. |
