Car wiring harness question

To start with
Base system
Pioneer F900BT
Peripheral PESWIPS steering wheel controls

I stole this from another thread

Now,
My Metra harness adapter only has wires at pin locations
2,3,4,5,10,11,12,13,14,16,18, 19 and 20, so most won't line up with the factory stuff.

The Peripheral PESWIPS steering wheel interface for pioneer says I need to tap into 6 and 15, but the harness adapter has no wires there. Does anyone know an easy way to remove the wires I don't need from the harness and relocate them?

At a minimum, I just ordered a scosche harness, although it looks the same, but I can at least destroy the molex connector to harvest the wires and pins if needed.

Or am I just missing something obvious?

harvesting the pins is one idea, or you can just shave a bit of insulation off of the factory side of the harness and connect your PAC-SWI-PS there.

yeah, I could do that, but that defeats the whole purpose of an aftermarket harness.

are you looking at the connector from the right side? im using the exact steering wheel remote adapter thingie and scoche connector and it's working fine on my 3100.

I'm looking at it correctly, it just only has one of the steering wheel wires on it. I do have the Metra one though. The scosche one is on order now, so we will see what it looks like when I actually have it in hand.
