ipod mount for 370

Hey guys, anyone remember that ipod mount for the 370 someone posted a while back. I've searched using ipod and mount as key words, but I remember some of you had heard of the company. It mounted to the side of the radio and appeared to be alluminum. Thanks....

And after I posted I tried searching mounting bracket and found it. Proclip.... I swear I'm never gonna get OG status. When lord, whens gonna be my time?

Haha, I was just about to post the link to the thread for you. Good job

Anyway since I don't have the nav I just keep my ipod in the cubby and run the wire out the side since theres just alittleeee space that the wire fits.

Thanks bro, I thought about that as well. I was using my old nano and I had a mount that fit the cup holder, but it had too little memory. So I picked up a touch for the car. Those proclips are uh whats the word..... Priiicccceeyyyyy! so says the guy who just bought a touch huh?

What I did was use a piece of velcro on my Itouch and on the door on the center compartment. It works pretty well.

Nice but I don't see how the mounting an Ipod in either place is going to be any good if you are using the Bose/Nav. The input cable for the Bose/Nav system is very short and the input connector is in the center console by the driver's elbow. I guess you'd have to get a special long cable made.

Mounting a phone in the upper left would be nice, but there are no power adapters anywhere nearby that location, so more special wiring would be required for that location.

oh... i have the poorman's Base so did not know.

I have the proclip mounted on the right side of the center console. With the touring Bose packages (no nav) it's conveniently close to the Aux jack and the 12v power. The Proclip is awesome.

:D

I ended up ordering the proclip for the console. it was just a cleaner look I thought and that power oultet is there as well. I was using that power outlet in the center console when I had my nano on a cup holder mount. It was great for the ipod but I kept the mount in there all the time for pure convience sake and never had a place to put my sodey pop! Plus if I put it in the space where the nav would go I couldnt skip around on ye olde ipod as much.

Hey Zeto, I know I'm hijacking my own thread but MAN I dig those vents you put in! I remember reading your thread about it. Did you ever say whether other places are doing the same technique? Didnt you say there was no heat from cutting? I needs the 411 brudda!

Hey Tex, as far as I know my guy is the only one that does them. He's almost done with the DIY. As far as heat is concerned the heat release is minimal, HOWEVER, I haven't experienced anything over 220F with hard driving on 90 degree days since they were installed.
As soon as he's done I'll post it up.

I added to your rep power solely on your vents and secondly on your diy and thirdly, well there is no thirdly!
