Dash Speakers
 

INDEPENDENT of whether or not it is a good idea, has anyone here done a stereo build with 3.5" dash speakers? I know there isn't sufficient space in the stock configuration, but I have seen a build with some 3" speakers (but do not know what was involved). I just wondering how much cutting, tearing, hammering a and bleeding is involved (yes, we are still talking stereos).

I don't think so man, you would probably have to cut out the hole to even fit a 2.5 in there, probably have to remove the windshield as well to do so.

I was afraid of that. The 3" speakers I saw were exposed (no grills), which looked like dookie.

sounds like a monumental task, and not worth the effort.

Yea keep your tweeters there and beef up your door speakers. I have upgraded my speakers with Alpine components (door and tweets) with Alpine amp and they sound great.
Dont hack your dash.

I have 4 6x9s and tweeters front and back.

dude those speakers in the dash are whack as fuq.... seriously.. why nissan even bothered is beyond me..
