Which amp for under seat?

I need an amp that will fit under driver seat and plan on buying one from amazon soon. Wires are hooked up from my previous amp and need one small enough to fit back. Is there any you would recommend that you like? My sub (1) is Kicker 10C84 (10C8-4) 8" Single 4 ohm in a kicker box... thanks in advance

Kicker makes a really small amp. Also JL packs a decent punch for their small amps-

Have you thought about mounting the amp in the space just in front of the spare? Lots of room and no one will take said amp from your car.

Alpine and JL along with RF's micro amps will all fit under there but as stated above you can install your amp under the trunk floor without giving up any space.

The JL xd700/5 fits under my passenger seat. Powers a set of hertz 165 XLs and 10" kenwood slim sub quite nicely.

I have the Alpine PDX- M6 and the PDX-F4 under my seats and they fit. I just put one under each seat and they have been very good amps also. I think there is a thread on this already also. Good luck!

Below is your specs for your amplifier.

•8" 4-ohm subwoofer
•injection-molded polypropylene cone
•ribbed foam surround
•suitable for free-air use
•power handling: 50-100 watts RMS
•peak power handling: 200 watts
•frequency response: 30-500 Hz
•sensitivity: 85.6 dB
•top-mount depth: 4-1/16"
•sealed box volume: 0.5 - 1.2 cu. ft.
•ported box volume: 0.66 - 1.2 cu. ft

I have a couple amps for you, instead of going through amazon, you can give me a try...

you need about average of 100-200 Watts clean power to do what you want. Control over your subwoofer is very important and JL amps will have a high dampening factor (control over your sub)

XD200/2 will do the job. small foot print and a great amplifier. Please PM me for pricing... I will match or beat amazon.

Or you can go with JX500.1 250 Watts at 4 Ohm and 500 watts at 2 ohm gives you the ability to expand your subwoofer needs later on. This amplifier is tiny.. It is actually smaller then the JX250.1

If you are going to upgrade your front speakers, you may also want to look into the XD500/3 which will give you what you need for the sub and will give you extra 2 channels to power front speakers for a well balanced system. Difference would be night and day.

Again please PM me for pricing...

Under my driver seat takes up no space so I don't have to pay for re-wiring and stuff you know? Which amp would you say... under $300 that I can try out and it fit?

$140 on Amazon.

4 channels, 1 ohm stable, 100 w RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms.

I think it's just Pioneer's class D amp. I don't know that an FD is different than a D class amp. It is pretty compact for the power it delivers. No complaints.

I have an Infinity KappaFour in my 4Runner and it is a nicer amp in some ways, but it is also larger and more expensive. Kicker amps seem fine; better than their door speakers, and Alpines are very nice. After that you get to the higher $ sexy amps. Others here can comment on the cost to value ratio better than I. As much as I enjoy music, I can't bring myself to shell out the big bucks for an amp. This shouldn't be taken as saying that they are not worth it.

In the end, the take home point is that that amp provided "clean" power that fed well both a 4x 6.5 component system and a 4x 6x9 system.

I had a jl Audio 500.1 it was a awesome amp great amp....and a 500w kicker amp fit perfect under the seat ...and I now have a Rockford 2500 class D also fits awesome unde the seat and a L5 15" ..I'm looking to get a good price for a L7 15"...ohh and also have a planet audio 500w for my door speakers all of them awesome amps...

Im going with the kenwood xr900-5 its 60w x 4 + 600 x 1 and its one of the tiniest amps ive ever seen. awesome stuff. Plus i keep reading everywhere that its way under rated on the 4 channel power ppl say it puts out closer to 100 watt rms from what they measure. I just gotta figure out what speakers to pair with it.
