Just recieved my Boston Acoustics SR-65 Speakers

Just wanted to share with you fellow audio guys what I just got in the mail a couple days ago!

Around 4 years ago, back when I owned my 4Runner, I always wanted to have quality audio equipment, and especially speakers. I remember my friend used to have a full Boston Acoustics PRO component setup in his truck, hooked up to a JL 5-channel amp and a JL 10w3 sub, and man, it was about the most leveled and clear setup I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. It was so rich and mellow, and I personally have yet to hear a setup with more clarity. I was hooked to Boston Acoustics.

I know that Boston Acoustics stepped out of the car audio market, but I was very happy to stumble across a lone pair of Boston Acoustics SR-65 2-way speakers of which I think would be a perfect fit in my Z! I was very happy to have found this set. Of course, this being the SR-series, and not a component setup, I do not expect the best quality of mid-bass and response as from a component setup, but I have also heard the co-axial speakers offered from Boston, and I think they are still incredible. There are better brands, but for the price, I am very satisfied. Plus, paired with my JL 12w3v3, car-computer, and after I get some more funds for a proper, quality 5-channel amp, this car will be singing.

I'm also debating finding a set of the Boston Acoustics PRO level tweeters - but after what I got on black friday, a broke man can dream. :bowrofl:

Here's a couple pictures of the beauties:

Back in the days, my favourite set up was a pair of 6.5 Vifas paired with the A/D/S tweeters. It had one of the smoothest sound and required minimal EQ corrections. The BA components however were very close second. They made great gears. Great things about Coax is that they generally do not have as bad timing and localization issues in comparison of most component set-up.
