RCA and USB input via center console?

Anyone know of a commercially fabricate part like this that can be fitted to the center console (and routed to an after market HU?

I saw where another member did this:

I'm looking for some ideas.

Wow... all depends on how in-depth you wanna get. I have the USB cable from my aftermarket headunit run into the center console pocket. I don't see a need for RCAs or anything, if anything, just a headphone jack and/or a USB or charging cable. You can make most anything work from the home wiring options at Parts Express.

I have a USB port, two camera inputs, available and a mini 4 pole input. I was thinking rather than dedicate something to each port, or leave them inaccessible post install, I'd leave myself some flexibility and set things up to be adaptable via the console.

Already have a backup camera (not attached to HU).

With enough time and fabrication you can make them look factory. It just depends on how much cutting and modifications you are willing to do. Fiberglass limits are almost endless.

JENSEN USB Interface and 1/8" Auxiliary Input Jack

Seems like it should work with any head unit.

but on my car i just routed the HU's usb cord for flashdrive into the center console. i drilled a small hole on the bottom, put a rubber seal ring to prevent cuts, also 2 usb power cords. one for my gopro and another for auxilary power. none of the cords bounce around or make any noise while driving.

I ordered this USB 2.0 Port and 3.5mm Audio/Video Mini-Jack a couple of weeks ago for my install. I later decided I was not going to use it and just sent it back.

After all the work I put into pulling the car apart, I should have just installed it. Oh well...

I may try to hardwire my radar detector to the dummy slots on the center console (normally used in touring models) and was starting to think how hard it would be to route the USB cord from my new HU (when it gets here) to a slot there and mount it.

I'm not sure if glue would be enough to hold it, esp. in the Summer if/when it gets hot and the downward pressure when plugging something in over time....

The unit I have, the Pioneer X8500BHS, has dual rear USB plugs. This would be simple to connect an extension to, which is what I did, and just ran the cable up through the center console and pulled the end plug into my center console pocket. It's tucked away and hidden, but easy to access and still loose to allow easy connectivity of a flash drive.

However, if you wanted to permanently mount one, there are lots of options:

This one is cool - waterproof, for boats.

Lots of options.

This would be good, too -

Some of those just look like charger ports, no data-carrying capability... but you get the "picture". lol

None of those would fit in that switch area right by the cupholder though. I may just get an extension cable and somehow glue & fasten it to that switch bank after making a small hole in there.

A simple slot cut very carefully with a dremel or other rotary tool, then scuff up the backside and use a good quality epoxy to mount from the backside... I would think it would be just fine.
