where to find vss wire?
I am installing an active aeromotions wing and I could not find where the VSS wire is located to tap into. I saw a few posts but nothing concrete. Anyone?
thanks? |
I got you. It's a 2 pulse signal instead of 8. It works good enough on my boost controller.

Pretty sure it's this harness pictured right? I will check the service manual maybe there's an RPM signal wire there too!!
I looked at that one. I think I looked at the FSM but couldn't find another VSS.
so Im looking at the wrong harness since that's not 24 pin!
Yeap. The one you need is behind the combination meter.
Are you also needing an rpm signal?
Just wondering why you need to tap into a wire for a wing install??
Active aero. Wing movement is dependent on vehicle speed.
Ron is correct, I believe I can tap into RPM straight off the ECU
Correct. Passenger side foot well, I tapped into that one as well but I can't remember which one exactly it was. It's pretty clear on the FSM though. Good luck!

I have nothing to add as far as information. I'm just here to demand pics and video of the finished product. Active aero is freaking cool. Will it flop all the way forward to act as an air brake?
