Pioneer 8500BHS and Android

Team,
Anyone have experience with the AVH-X8500BHS and Samsung Galaxy Nexus? Having issues getting the AppRadio and Pandora working correctly as well as importing all of my phone contacts.

The shop that installed is basically blowing me off (after dropping $1400 with them - douche-bags) and I'm pretty much over it at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JimmyD

is your phone paired to your new HU? the contacts should just show up automatically.
pandora should also start up as well automatically if you have pandora activated on your HU.

not sure about the apps as i dont use my droid4 in app mode.

but first step is to get your phone paired to your HU.

A lot of head units only work with iPhones. At least my advent and jvc units did.

Did you make sure you had the most current firmware?

Thanks for the replies.

Yes the phone is paired up, that part was easy. I can make and receive calls, but only some of my contacts sync up, not all of them which I find very odd. I've tried un-pairing and re-pairing the phone to no avail. Not sure what else to try.

Pandora is now kind of working. I can get it to play but cant change stations unless I disconnect the phone.

The firmware is whatever is was shipped with. I'm terrified to try to update that for fear the whole thing will stop working (been my luck with this so far).

I should point out that I do have the Droid AppRadio HDMI adapter installed an did not jalbreak the phone, nor will I.

Thanks Team!

The firmware is easy to update via USB drive. Follow the directions on the Pioneer web page. This is only IF you need to update.

I have an appradio 2 and had to update firmware. Of course, that was an old model even when I bought it new. The 8500 is relative new.
