Best bang for the buck nav.

Im looking for the best double din nav unit with the most built in features for under a grand. Got to be 7 inch screen, bluetooth,HD radio, with the nav built in (no disc) I am concerned with the kenwoods shuting down because of heat(im n the dez) and want to retain my steering wheel controls. is there anything out there that fills the bill?

I agree with the above recommendation this unit is very hard to beat from what I have seen from it.

I purchased the Eclipse AVN 726E, and I couldn't be happier. It has everything you want. The steering wheel controls are built in, and it comes with the mic for the blue tooth. Its an amazing head unit IMO. It also makes the stock speakers sound a lot better than the factory head unit, since it puts out 50Wx4. Check it out on crutchfield. You can find it a lot cheaper on ebay, and probably some other sites.

Does this unit have your seal of approval, cause if so that's what I'm going with. I'd like to have a flip up LCD, but with the door handle, i dont think it would be able to sit upright correctly...

It's been 100+ degree F all week long and my Kenwood 6140 worked flawlessly!

Chrono_30 08-15-2009 01:22 PM

I know 1200+ is expensive, however if you look for it on ebay or other stereo web pages you can find it much cheaper. I didn't pay over 1000 for mine.
