Video Amplifier

For many who have seen my setup, I have a custom upper screen running a HKS Camp2.
The screen we used was suppose to have an auto on feature so I never had to worry about using a remote to turn it on when the car starts but it has never worked. I am finally getting around to looking into this.

Screen: Accele LCDP7NB-B
I contacted the company about the problem, what happens is when I turn the car on the screen will flash white and then turn back off. They said it is because the video signal is not strong enough to trigger the auto on feature and to add a video amplifier.

Any suggestions on a video amplifier that is compact and might work? My camp2 is mounted on the passenger side in the console that comes down so fitting in that spot would be ideal.

Maybe looking into a in line RCA booster made for home applications. As I have never done this, I know PAC makes a voltage booster for audio signal and I can not advise for or against using it in a video application.

I ended up buying this: Amazon.com: Boss Audio BV-AM5 Video Signal Amplifier: Car Electronics
Boss Audio BV-AM5 Video Signal Amplifier

It might work for some device but from my understanding, even though they use the same RCA connectors, audio boosters have different frequency spectrum. Safer to get one designed specifically for video.

Yeah that is what one of my friends over the weekend said, better offer finding a straight video one. The one I found is a 1 to 4 but can disable some it looks like, plus it was only $12 so if it does not work no big deal. Just need to wire power and found a way to mount it next to my camp2 device.

Or dissect on of those rabbit ears boosters....that said again likely for troublesome than just get a real one. Just remember to make sure one designed for 12volt or you will need to step up or down.

Yeah the Boss BV-AM5 is 12 volt, ran it by a few friends on Sunday and they said it "should" work but not 100%. With this on order I have a few other little things I want to order now if I am going to be messing with all of this.
-Steering wheel control harness
-Speakers, amp
-Re-run my 30 pin connection to center console instead of cubby on the passenger side.
