OBDII Wifi Reader linked to Headunit

I'm guessing many of you have seen these, but for those that haven't, you can get the reader and app for under $20:

The app lets you select a variety of monitored parameters and you can customize the dashboard. Works on smartphones and tablets, and using mirrorlink function on at least some headunits.

First time I've seen that, pretty neat.

Any way to have it show air/fuel readout?

Not sure what all it can do. Here are some screen shots that might help with some of the functions:

Here is a dashboard I threw together:

It should be able to read all the standard PIDs. I don't see A/FR on the list. :(

I'm having a similar setup installed on Wednesday. I use Dash Command to display the data. A/F is one of the available parameters with that software.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have seen dash command and I believe this is about $30 cheaper, which isn't a huge amount but if this does everything *I* need/want I would rather have that cash in my pocket :tiphat:

Do you know if this is a software or hardware difference?

Software. A/F is one of the standard PIDs for our car.

I can't find it in the standard PIDs. What is Mode and PID for A/FR? TIA

I thought this was a useful article (to someone as ignorant on the matter as me):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs

The enginelink software will let you load PIDs for a small number of specific cars.

I notice the reader doesn't turn off with the engine. Guess I,ll have to remember to unplug.

EDIT: Ok, I just noticed someone beat me to the wiki page. This won't be an uncommon thing; I'm the quintessential absent minded professor (well, scientist).

I have collected some OBD/CAN info, some of which is 370Z-specific. Far from complete but you should be able to find something useful. See the link in my sig. Feel free to contribute.

Well in Dash Command it's listed as CALC.AFR_ACTUAL

Also found lambda values:

CONST.LAMBDA_ACTUAL_PID
SAE.WO2S11.LAMBDA
SAE.WO2S21.LAMBDA

Well it would be nice if someone would come up with an OBD reader with composite video output, on my Navi with 2nd video input (as a result of adding reverse camera input) it would be so sweet to connect composite video OBD information into the head unit display.

I've looked but haven't found anything.
