Crappy OEM NAV Handsfree anyone? Others cannot hear thru Mic

So I had my car brand new since 2010 with Nav package. I've been kind of bottling up with this problem. My bluetooth Handsfree seems to be horrible. 90% of the people that I have conversation with cannot hear me well or at all for most of the time.

Since I am the only person that drives the car I haven't tested to see what they're talking about or how bad it is. Most of the time, I have to disconnect the bluetooth and just use speaker phone to talk to them. (Kind of defeats the idea of handsfree). While that is true most of the time, there are every now and then it works flawlessly.

I've used Apple iPhone 3GS, now 4S - still doesn't make a difference.

Want to see if others have this same problem. I'm kinda frustrated and want to see if others have ran into this problem. Did Nissan install the Mic poorly for the 370z? or is it just mine isn't working properly.

Check out this thread.

There is a setting you can adjust to make it better. I personally have been using an iPhone 4 and 5 without any voice or clarity issues.

Well, I don't have a problem... Actually it's THE ONLY thing that works on my car, lol
iPhone 4S->5, no problems. The only issue I have isbthatbthe car makes too much road noise most of the time.

pedZ, where is this setting you're talking about?

DEpointfive0, the setting is talked about in this thread.

SETTINGS > AUDIO AND BEEPS > OUTGOING CALL

I don't know if that setting actually does anything to make it better or worse but someone in that thread did say it improved it for them.

I got my new phone right before I got my car. I had issues with the sound skipping when I streamed music via Bluetooth. It would play the music but it sounded like a really scratched up cd. It did the same thing to my voice while talking hands-free so no-one could hear what I was saying. About a month later my phone had a software update and that fixed everything. I stream Pandora all the time now and love it.

I noticed the "Outgoing Call" was set at Max (High), I now made it Min (Low) and hopefully it'll be better like all the other cars I've used Bluetooth handsfree for (I've had great experience with Lexus & Toyota Bluetooth Handsfree).

To get to the menu, you go to "Options", then "Volume & Beeps":

I'll keep you guys informed.
