Passenger Window won't work!!!

Installed a stereo several months ago and everything was working great. Couple days ago, I put the convertible top down and the window will not go back up again. I've tried the window reset about a thousand times, have swapped motors-both of them work only on the driver's side only, have run a multimeter on every wire, bashed my head with a hammer, and am about ready to take it in to the Nissan shop.

Does anybody have any ideas for me before I go in to be told they have no idea?

Obi-One-Forum, you are my only hope!

I could only think to maybe checking the fuses?

There's a button on the drivers side that locks the passenger window, have you checked that? I know it sounds simple but hey it's been done before.

Triples and Diddy, thanks for both. I tried the PW fuse with no luck. There is only one, correct? If there's one for each door, I couldn't find it. Didn't try the lockout button, would love it if that's it. My only doubt, though is that it won't work from the driver's side controls either.

Don't worry about hurting my feelings with 'obvious' suggestions, I'm way past feeling dumb and just want to drive my ZZZZZZ!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. Will try the lockout.

Let me know man, lockout happened to me and I panicked. Forum came through, just hoping I can return the favor. Keep us posted!

Okay, you all may commence to calling me an idiot! I don't care what you call me, cuz I'll be driving top down tomorrow!!!

Just so everybody knows, the lockout WILL lockout the window. Imagine that, it works.

Diddy, you are DA MAN. triples, thanks for all the help.

So, just to recap, if the window reset doesn't work, CHECK THE LOCKOUT BUTTON.

Soooo, got the passenger's side window fixed, but now the auto features on the driver's side won't work. The window will roll up and down, but won't go auto and also will roll down a half-inch every time the door is opened. I've tried the reset procedures about six thousand times with no luck. Tried it door open/door closed/car running/car on/key in/key out/me screaming/me petting it softly. All with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure you're resetting it properly?

diddy535 06-13-2013 03:05 PM

Did you pull any fuses or mess with wiring when you were trying to figure out the window lock before? Could be something loose or out of place?

RonRizz 06-13-2013 04:07 PM

definitely a reset issue. Try, try again.
