Iphone/ipod Interface Cable

Whats up guys? I just bought a Pioneer DVD receiver off crutchfield and I would like to know if there is an alternative cheaper cable that I can connect to the receiver. The one sold on crutchfield is pretty expensive for a cable that I'm sure I can find off of monoprice? Or is this something that needs to be specific for all features to work?

Exhibit A:
Pioneer CD-IU201V iPodŽ interface cable for select Pioneer A/V receivers at Crutchfield.com

Exhibit B:
For only $5.81 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Charge/Sync Cable for all 30-pin iPadŽ iPhoneŽ, iPodŽ, Tablets, and SmartPhones

Thanks for the input!

For a little over $5, I would give the ebay knock-off version a try. Pioneer CD IU51V Aux USB Interface Cable for iPod iPhone iPad iTouch Nano | eBay

Thanks for the link, does the receiver require both the aux and usb to be connected?

Because i noticed that "pioneer" rebranded or not has USB and AUX attached to iPod connector.

The two cables are as follows: USB for Audio and Metadata and Album art, and the 3.5mm cable is for video, hence it's plugged into the "Aux Input" If you don't want video then just use the USB cable only piece that came with your Apple device originally.

Wow really i had no idea, Thanks for that. So as long as i find generic that has both aux and usb connected to the 30pin for the iPhone i'll be able to receive audio and video?

Also I'm looking to run navigation via iphone maps and listen to music at the same damn time..thus i will need the aux/usb combo correct?

FH: Yes, either from video stored on the phone or streaming video thru phone.

For music you'll only need the standard iPod cable.
I don't think that Apple allows Apple Navi mirroring on the radio screen though, you'll have to ask another radio owner same as yours, sorry! You may only get voice guidance from Apple Navi (the Navi Map will be on the phone) and it will voice over the music when giving turn by turn. Might want to Google that particular one.
IF the head unit does not mirror (send) Navi to the radio screen then you'll only need the standard USB Apple cable.

Are you thinking something like this?

Living in Virginia (radar detectors not permitted), I really like the Escort radar detector app (obviously someone is using them):

Thanks a bunch for that info but i know the app radio from what i understand simply a second screen. Whereas your phone is the computing center.

I bought the avh 4400bh. From what i read it seems that i can only use apps that are supported through "app mode"
