fitting subwoofer under the touring cargo cover..

hey everyone. so, i tried searching but i'm lucky enough just to be able to log in here, i'm deployed. i want to start ordering stuff for my build. i'd like to do one 10" or two 8" subs, rear facing, pushed up against the strut bar(or whatever the silver bar is for)

i definitely want to keep the cargo cover. i'd like at least a 500w RMS 10, or 2 300w rms 8s. or if you recommend something else, please do. im just looking for crisp, clean bass that will rattle me a little but not overpower. i have the stock bose / nav, and will be doing a LOC setup. amp will mount behind the passenger seat.

also, i'm leaning towards JL (i used to run an RE Audio MX 12" in my pathfinder but i haven't read the best reviews on RE lately)

any info would be great. thanks

edit: does anyone know how how tall that cover is underneath?

I pm'd you about my setup. I think a ten inch with 500W is plenty. The cabin is small and if you stick with stock speakers etc then anymore will just overpower them. It's all about thump and bump but with balance. Just my $.02.
