installing double Din on Touring model

Guys, I was really looking forward to installing a kenwood double din on my 370Z touring, but the stereo is bigger than the base models, therefore, its not just a plug and play.
Has anyone done a double din on a touring model, or know where to get the parts (trim piece) etc?

thanks in advance.

I'm getting a Kenwood 6140 installed into my Touring on Saturday. I will be using this dash kit The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: Aftermarket Radio Face Plate, 2009 370Z

I'll trade you for my base radio. you can install a double din in it.

I have 400 miles on my car.

looks like this:

I honestly would have to say even though it is made for DD I would probably have to go with a single din. I would kill myself looking and playing with the screen, plus better quality audio I can get form a single din more prepossessing power for audio.:ugh2:

You are gonna pay about $200 if you get trim piece from Nissan. The Z store is selling the trim peice for about $50. Check the link that I posted above. I got mines about 2 days ago. I'll try to post pictures of it tonight.

I posted a link to the site where I got the frame (dash kit) above in post #3 of this thread. It was from the Z Store.

Is the headunit the only thing you installed? Where did they mount the receivers for GPS? I'm probably going to follow the same path so wanted some ideas.

The dash kit is nice. Matches the interior perfectly. No, I didn't get the backup cam and I regret it. Especially since it was pretty inexpensive.

Hi hi. I plan on doing the install in my touring w/ sport w/o NAV and your setup looks very good! Did you do anything special to install the deck, like rewire the bose systems? Which parts did you use besides the metra dash kit.

Thanks! Great install!

I didn't install this myself. I had it done at a shop near my house. From what I seen, nothing special was needed besides the metra dash kit to install the head unit. They did have to do some extra work with the speakers since I had the bose system but i'm not sure what was done exactly.

Here is a link to everything I had installed. They put the GPS somewhere under the dash.
