GTMat Quadro has launched! Check the link for more information!

GTMat Quadro Premium Product

YzGyz 07-11-2013 09:26 PM

I was going to buy Second Skin but just saw your bumped post. Can you "sell" me on why I should use your product over others? I only plan to put some under the carpet of my driver's seat, passenger seat, feet well and trunk (might not do where spare is depending on how easy I can get this stuff installed and if the material will ooz out and tarnish my spare). What material or series do you recommend for my hot Houston TX heat sq ft needed and the price shipped to 77067.

and I just clicked you quick link, how do I get free sample so I may see/feel the material?

Thanks

You can PM me or call to provide your address for a sample pack.

As far as selling you on our products, I'll do my best. ;)

GT Sound has created both discount and premium products at far lower prices than even the leading discount brand. We back our products with a warranty and aim to please the customer. We provide live customer service, free shipping, discounts to forum members, and even new product testing opportunities for customers. We are based in Texas so your money would be kept local, shipping would be next day, and our products have been tested in employee vehicles in the same Texas heat that your Z experiences. ;)

If you want a quote on the Quadro, let me know. I can also quote our Onyx butyl product.

PMed my addy

Can you go into detail on why you think the Quadro or Onyx lne is preferred over the others? (yes I know the some about your product but just pretends I know nothing. This way, we don't pass up any info that I was "suppose to know.")

Please send me a quote with the breakdown for those products. (sq ft needed for trunk, door, foot well and under seat. will cover x layers)

Thanks

Quadro - There is no other product like it on the market. The closest I can think of is Focal's Bam XXL which runs at a much higher price than our version. Quadro was created to combine two steps into one as far as sound deadening goes.

Onyx - We were getting requests for a true butyl product so we made one. Onyx is the same deadener as that leading brand but at a much lower price. Their website lists a 36sq ft for $340 and ours retails for $119.99.

We have had a lot of request for installation pictures. Our project install is delayed right now, so here is what we have.

DISCLAIMER:
This is an install that was not performed nor advised by our staff. A customer at a MECA event wanted to purchase and decided to install on the spot before the competition. The material was cut with a razor blade, hastily.

Installed some Quadro in my trunk today, not the cleanest job, but serving the purpose I needed. Wanted to quiet down the cabin noise from my Tanabe exhaust w/Y-pipe & Berk HFCs, so far so good

Hi pL4tiNumfi5t,

How much did the road noise and tire noise reduce? I hope you can hear the difference in noise over your pipes, or is the exhaust sound the dominant noise so that you can't hear the tires/road coming from the rear tire wells?

YzGyz 07-23-2013 12:17 PM

how many sq ft did you use on that install?

My exhaust setup is definitely the dominant noise in my cabin right now so it's hard to differentiate, but I put some GTMat on the wheelwells and I suppose sound from rocks being picked up was a bit more muffled. The road noise difference was greater when I swapped out the noisy OEM tires for my RE-11s. That being said, I didn't fully cover the wheelwells and upper sides of the trunk. My main goal was to quiet the exhaust note in the cabin.

Overall, happy with the product & will probably be ordering more down the road.

I just installed 14sqft, which covered the bottom of the trunk and some of the rear wheelwells.
