Quick Bluetooth Question...

So I was told that you cannot play music from your iPhone via Bluetooth in the 2009 370z. (I have the touring package with Bose audio)

Then someone mentioned that you CAN in 2010. So is there any way I can update my software to obtain this functionality or is it something the dealer just won't do/unable to do?

TL;DR I wanna stream music to the car via Bluetooth, plugging my phone into the cable every time sucks ****. :(

IIRC only the navigation package allows you to stream audio via bluetooth. You could always get a bluetooth receiver and plug it into the aux input.

that was the primary reason I replace my HU in my 2009. That stock one in the touring wasn't great anyway in my opinion. Got a usb in my glove so I can plug in a flash drive with music, stream bluetooth, xm radio, digital radio. if you can just replace the HU I doubt you'll be sorry.

If you dont want to replace the HU just get one of these. Very cheap alternative.

I did. It literally lead me to my own post. The only other post about it says the same exact thing in here. Useless.

Um, it can't be that useless, the first thing that comes up has 3 posts saying a 2009 won't work.

And yeah, you have an AUX, it's in the form of an RCA (red, white, yellow)

And you CANNOT replace your head unit because you have nav. So Eighties Meta's suggestion won't work

The search info that came up says that it won't work. I posted in my OP that I know it won't work. My question was if there was a software change I could make from the dealership. The search you posted doesn't answer that lol

I already know that 2009 doesn't offer streaming media via Bluetooth, my question was, and still is, if 2010 does, can I just swap some hardware or software from the dealership to MAKE it work. ;)

I come from almost 10 years wrenching on cars and forum posting. That's not very long but when u consider I'm only 26, it's not to bad. I know how to search, but don't know if Nissan changed the software to allow Bluetooth streaming or if they swapped hardware as well. That was my question, and the search didn't answer it. :)

Thanks for the info though.

Its not a software limitation its a hardware limitation so there is no way to "Make" it work. Im sure you can swap out the entire system with a 2010 model but then that becomes a cost irresponsibility as you can by a similar aftermaket set up for 1/3 the price.

Yea CBTech that's what I was inquiring about. Thank you sir. :)

NAVKIS but it does not charge the ipod/iphone. It will play directly and interface directly with your screen/head. So plug in vs. bluetooth. You could possible use an additional bluetooth adapter for the interface into the NAVKIS and everything is solved... i guess. Plus it has an additional a/v input for backup cam or whatever.
