how do you bypass the AVN726E

Do you just ground it off like other units? Where is the best ground on the Z? Also, I cant get my 80gb ipod to work... its hooked up and all, but it wont pick up... ideas?

TRY grounding the parking brake wire. A LOT of newer head units have a safety feature which you have to by something to bypass the head unit. I am not sure if yours needs that or not. I know the pioneers have 2 wires that have to be switched, and I know Kenwoods are just grounding the wire, but not sure about the eclipse. I know some of the nice units even use the gps as means for the safety feature.

Just did some searching you need this. What it dose is tricks the head unit in which it simulates applying the parking brake unapplying it and reapplying it again to engage the video watching mode.

dont waste your moeny, that auction is for instructions to bypass the brake. All you need to do is ground the parking brake wire and call it a day :tiphat:

Dudes video must go like this -

"Hello, thanks for paypaling me 12 bones plus jacked up shipping. Take the black cord from your wiring harness and connect it to the one labled parking break. Thanks again!"

So I went out and finished my install this morning. I did just connect the parking break line directly to the ground on the harness. It's actually quite nice because the aftermarket has two ground connections and makes for a clean install.

So the GPS instructions are insanely quiet?!?!!? I can barely hear it... Ideas?

Also, It wont find my 80gb Ipod :( I have it connected with the eclipse ipod cables too :( Any Ideas and thanks for all your guys help!

LOL like I said some are different than others some require a bypass trigger and some can still be grounded, lol I am not perfect. I do not knwo why it wont find your ipod also for the nav check your setting for volume and such.
