Went and auditioned the Focal's and they sounded great when tuned... now the debate is between a 2 way or 3 way... the guy in me says 3 way cause two chicks are better than one! (LOL I kid I kid). If I did a 3 way we would be looking to mount the 3inch in the dash, the tweeter on the door or in a pillar and the 6.5" as a mid bass in the kick panel...

I was also thinking of running the BitTen instead of the BitOne... I dont think I need the extra channels...

What are your thoughts guys?

Don't go 3 way, as previously advised and go active with the bitone

You know Mike, if you take 'component system' out of that title, it would be more interesting! ;)

So is a bitTen out of the question?

The bitten is if your wanting to run your factory head unit or a tablet as your main audio feed. Where as the bitone is more for aftermarket systems. The bitten will convert your audio to and from a digital signal but unless your running a fiber network of amps I do not see where it could benefit.

Bit one is 8 channel input and output.
Bit 10 is 4 Channel input and 5 channel output...

There is also the Bit 10D which has Digital output to be used with the New Audison Voce amplifiers. You will need a "AV Bit In" for the amplifier so you can switch the rca input to Digital inputs.

You can use the Bit10D with Voce AV5.1K amplifier and run your car and achieve great sound...

My recommendation to you would be the Voce AVK6 in the front stage, Very musical and true to actual recording. verydetailed with vocals and intruments, with enough mid bass to keep you happy. I strongly suggest using with a subwoofer set up, which you are planning on anyways.

As for sub you may want to consider the VOCE 10" subwoofer... You will be surprized with the amount of bass you will get in the 370Z with just one 10" sub. specialy a high end one.

Your other consideration would be the Mille as a step up or the Hertz Hi Energy HSK165XL line for step to the side because it would not be a downgrade... XL series is designed for the MID BASS hungry ears.

If you insist on a 3 way, i strongly suggest you start doing some custom work to the A-Pillars and go with a 6/3/Tweet setup. 3" and tweeter being in the A-Pillar. We have a similar set up like this in the FJ Cruiser A-Pillars and Sound stage and details are amazing.

You will need a bitOne to go 3-way if you wire each speaker to a separate channel for the optimium active tuning. My subbox is available if you are in need of a sub box with a bitTen enclosure (see my set-up). The sub box is for a 8" sub with 0.35 cu. ft. net interior volume but can be enlarged as needed.

Totally misread the title of this thread...

You can go active with Bit10 as long as you are doing Mid Tweet and Sub only...

You can go ALL active with bit 10D If you are using multiple Voce Amps.

Here is a quote from Audison website:

"bit Ten D features an optical digital input, minimizing interference and degradations of the signal found in traditional analog interconnects, also by-passing the A/D conversion phases of analog signals.
Thanks to the AD Link connection, the available outputs become 8 in total, all in digital format; they can also be used simultaneously with the analog ones (for a maximum of 8 outputs total).
The AC Link is completely dedicated to the “remote control” of the system. The system is comprised of one connector for the provided DRC and one for the amplifiers present in the system"
