I have this sub with built in amp, should I hook it up to my car?
I've had this sub sitting in my basement for years, don't know much about it its a velodyne ct100. I just bought a head unit for my car and I'm going to be doing some wiring and I figured while I'm all ready in there why not try to hook this up to the head unit. I had an inverter I can plug it into my cig lighter port. Would that be all right?
I don't have an amp or any aftermarket speakers in my car I just planned on installing this head unit and a back up camera at first, and since I would be able to easily wire it up while everything out I could give this a shot. I plan to make it easily removable if I do this. any advice or ideas? Found a manual http://velodyne.com/pdf/ct/ct_100_120_manual.pdf heres the inverter Xantrex Prowatt 150 Inverter 801-0150 also- I'm about to install this head unit and wondering where to run the wire for the mic. Anyone have any advice? I've searched here and all I'm find about mics is for bluetooth mics. |
You're not seriously going to put a home theater sub in your car???? thats too funny. You will need a bigger inverter.
