ok here goes im looking into getting the new 2013 nismo 370z and im also a programer / IT professional and like side projects. does anyone know if there is a way i can get the factory image that they put into the touch screen ? what i want to do is to make the touch screen interface more visually appealing since i plan to do some interior work and would like to customize my driving experience. Do you know of anyone who has done something similar to this before ?

You will probably have to talk to a guy that works for nissan. I can not imagine it is an easy thing to come by. I would think just running a tablet or head unit and running a bootup screen with the Nissan logo would give you a lot more freedom with further mods and additions.

I strongly doubt you're going to be able to alter the image in the way you're thinking. These units are locked down from factory.

If you're really interested in going this route, I'd suggest looking into a tablet install in the cubby. mp3car.com has a lot of info.

Do the 13 Nismo's have a navi screen? I know they have the bose unit, but didnt think it had a screen.

No they do not have nav screens

So I assume the OP is going to put in a new HU and wants to have the stock Nissan boot up screen.
