Isn't there a place to put speakers in the back as well though?

Yes but it is not recommended as they are only 3.5 inch, at least until you upgrade your front speakers and decide from there. Bose comes with rears.

I'm looking at the Focal PS165 component speaker with tweeter. Is there anything else out there that is better?

Big, what made you choose the Focal 3-ways over say the Morel Elate 3-ways (603s I think) for a similar price??

I've been weighing up between Focal KRX2s and Morel Elate 2-ways for weeks!

It was not easy by any means, bust sense I am going to be running the sound stage on axis and active, the focals have a beautiful sound. Where as the hertz you can run them off axis and sound just as good. You just have to listen to them, I was at the PA auto show last year and demoed the KRX3's I was hooked. Today they come :excited:

Sounds sweet! Looking forward to hearing about them!

I'll be running 2-ways off-axis (prob in window/mirror sails) therefore the outcome may be different.. Gotta spend some quality time listening to the Elate v KRX2 debate soon :D

Very good, I have installed them twice in the z and both times they are awesome. Their tweeters come with a bracket that lines up directly with 2 mounting points of the factory ones. Make sure to set your crossover to - db's its either 3 or 6, because this will take care of some of the harshness.

Also, they sound great with a head unit, fantastic with an amp.

Thank you so much Big! I know now what to get! I'm also looking at the Pioneer AVIC Head Unit. What amp should I run? Nothing to overpower the speakers. Thanks again!

I can't find where the rear speakers go on the Nismo. Where exactly is it?

There are none, the grills are located behind the seats on either side.

I would at least give them a 100 watts, what kind of budget do you have?

I will pay $639 for the speakers. $1600 Installed for the head unit. And maybe 400-500 for the Amp.

johncy2000 09-18-2012 10:44 AM

Anyway to custom fab some rear speakers?

johncy2000 09-18-2012 10:45 AM

Big. Rep +1 Sent!! Thank you so much man!

What do you mean like this? Because the stock speaker locations for the rear will only be 3.5. My personal preference no rears.

johncy2000 09-18-2012 10:53 AM

Ya 3.5 are not worth the extra cash IMO. I'll just get high quality 6.5s.

If you are looking for power for just the speakers the F6 is nice, however I would go with a focal for that price.
