Question About Radio Decks
 

Will radio decks that are compatible with ipods/ipads charge the ipad while it is plugged in? If so which ones will/will not charge an ipad.

My laptops will not charge the ipad so I fear the car deck will not be able to either.

Im asking because im looking into a way to mount it permanently in the car but I do not want to have to unplug it from the deck to a charger and vise versa.

just add a A2dp to your device and splice a car charger adaptor and hard wire it to power and ground, no need for a head unit for power supply.

Thanks guys, I done a little further research after posting and found a couple write ups. Now I just need to find the right tablet for me, and I will not even need a deck in the car.

Go with the galaxy 10.1 ..my DIy sticky or better yet we can meet so you can see it first hand, I think I seen you at redline a mth ago ...

I was thinking about that tablet with Verizon 4G service. I would like to check out your setup. I will be off this Sunday maybe we can meet up for lunch or something.

I have to work on Sat. and I get up at 0230 so I will not be going to any meet the night before.
