Car Battery Replacement Options

Post your experience with car batteries with aftermarket sound system.

If your cars charging system is up to par, its not an issue, IMHO. I bought a $500 gel cell for my last car, and the only difference is I could play it longer with the car off. (which I never do anyways) No noticeable difference in any other way. I was running a 1000watt mono block, and a 750 watt stereo amp in that car.
SPL competitors will have use for them, but for average joe, save your $$$$$

Your battery will only be as good as the alternator that is charging it. Good rule of thumb.

What about a braille battery?

Plus: Light weight
Minus: Price & ?

I have had good and bad luck with optima, had one fail and the next two were fine. Kinetik makes some nice batteries, better than optima IMO however they are not going to be "direct fit"
.

The only thing you are going to gain from them is as mentioned, longer run time. They will also hold up to more of a load than a standard battery, the diehard gold's are great as well and a little cheaper.
