Pictures of Tour & Sport with after market Navi?

I did a search and cannot find any pictures of someone with a Tour with Sports package Z with a Kenwood or Pioneer navi installed. I want to see what it looks like since the console looks different from the Base. I just got the dealer to to promise $100 over invoice and I am deciding if I want the Base or Tour model. Thanks!

I'm not sure if there's any Touring owner with aftermarket nav yet. I remember one owner was going to install it but he ended up selling the car. I will explain to you why getting OEM nav will be a better idea with touring.

You can add factory nav and 9 GB HD music box for ONLY $1600 dollars with your touring model. To me, that's a STEAL! Almost every touring owners that wanted nav, simply went with the factory. If I were to buy touring model, you can not steer me away from OEM nav. It look thousand times better and integrates VERY NICELY with the center console.

Also note that, there aren't any dash kit out for the touring model (yet). You have to buy the base dash part from your Nissan dealer and they will charge your around $250ish for the part.

So, about 1000 -1200 for a typical aftermarket nav system plus installation plus 250 for the dash part -- you'll end up paying way more than stock nav and it may not look as good.

If you're set on Touring and you need nav, then please get the nav from Nissan. It'll be cost effective.

If you're looking to buy a base and upgrade (like me), then aftermarket is the way to go. You don't even NEED a dash kit if you buy 2 DIN HU!

Thanks to the both of you for the replies, I really wish the stock Nav came with a rear camera. I am not to sure what I want to do right now, if I do the custom install, living in Chicago, I feel like it would be only a matter of days before someone puts a rock through my window and tries to rip everything out of the console. Thanks guys for your help!

in what ways does the OEM nav integrate with the center console / car? Also, say I go with Touring w/ Sport package but no NAV. Can I add on the NAV at a later time? If so, would I be screwing myself cost-wise?

I'm sure they'll eventually release a firmware update so that the unit will fully support the iphone.

I didn't want the factory nav, but the car I found had it, so I took it. Now I love it. Being able to flip from CD to satellite to radio, change songs and adjust volume from the steering wheel is sweet. Also, microphone for aftermarket nav is usually in the head unit and gives bad bluetooth sound because of the position. The mic in the headliner for the factory nav works pretty well. The voice activated nav function is slow, but super slick. Press a button on the steering wheel, talk into the microphone in the head liner, tell it the state, city, street, address, then "show route" and you're mapped to where you want to go. The iPod plug in in the center console is slick, too.

Overall, it's just a very clean interface that performs very well. I have an aftermarket Eclipse nav in my Yaris and I would give it a 5/10 comapred to 9/10 for the factory Nissan nav.

I am super confused too, I think the people that said to go with the OEM NAV made a great point, but a big factor is putting in a back up camera...... right now I am leaning to a Base with Sport then installing the auto dimming rear view mirror and semi upgrade my speakers with the NAV. I went to ABT and they said they can do it all (except the mirrors) for about $1,600, they even said they will make something to hide the unit (not sure how)..... I don't know I am frustrated, but this is not a bad problem to have :tiphat:
