L33T's System Ordered

Fellow Z owners
I just ordered up the following from woofersetc today:

Hed Unit
Pioneer DEH-80PRS

Speakers Amp
ZED Audio DRACONIA-II
(tired of all the chinese junk amps)

Dash & Door Speakers
FOCAL 165 KRX2
(yes, I know they're not warrantied thru woofersetc, IDGF)

Hatch Speakers
FOCAL 21 V2 8" woofer x2
(see commment above)

I listen to synth pop, trance, industrial, goth/black metal.
Comments and critiques are welcome.

Hopefully you actually get your order. That place is horrible to deal with.

Warranty is only one of your worries when dealing with woofersetc. Hopefully they don't try to remove the hidden serial number under the spider of all the woofers

Why do they do that?

Ya why do you say that. Been referring my customers to them for a few years now, never had a problem with them nor have my customers.

RonRizz 04-14-2012 07:51 PM

Agreed. I have ordered from them many, many times. No issues. I even had a return or two to them with no pains whatsoever.
I will say that some of their prices can be beat elsewhere, but I'm a pretty loyal buyer....

I have never seen you post anything positive! You are the most negative person I have seen on this forum. Congrats.

I know that I was pondering ordering some Arc Black series from them, Arc told me that Woofersetc and a few other big sites remove serials from the speakers, simply because they are not allowed to sell them. The warranty is completely void.

That being said my brother has ordered quite a bit from them, their service seems good other than the above noted issue ;)

What’s your opinion on your Pioneer DEX P99? I’m thinking of upgrading my three year old Avic-X Series to the new Avic- Z Series. I have noticed “selective negative opinions” with Pioneer Products in this forum from a non 370Z owner who claims to be an installer……

RonRizz 04-15-2012 03:05 PM

I would have to say its the best piece I've ever owned, both from a Sound Quality standpoint, and a versatility standpoint.
Besides the fact that its got a full blown processor built in, I particularly enjoy its old-school appearance. I can honestly say that I am in no way a pioneer fanatic, in fact, I used to steer clear of them for many years. That changed when the premier line came about.
My last piece was the Clarion DXZ945mp (which was no slouch by any means, either) The car I had that in went to SLAP Nationals in 2005, and got me a second place finish. That now belongs to my daughter.
The pioneer DEX P99rs makes the clarion look like a toy.
I would have paid double for it, and still been happy. Its that good.
Honestly, if you search any name brand for problems, you will find many many pages on the web related to that specific brand, and that specific problem. I dont think there is one single brand that can say they are without issue of some form or another, but I dont see the need to start hysteria over any of them because of ones personal tastes.

Thanks Ron……..I was thinking this particular non-370Z owner, who consistently bashes Pioneer Products, has an alternative motive! He always posts a reference to another “Pioneer Bashing Forum”, which by coincidence he started! I, like many other 370Z owners, never had any issues with Pioneer. Maybe he has a mental connection with Alpine!! Lol

Care to see my website, LLC, or all the install pictures from customers. The fact that you despise me for no apparent reason other than to simply make yourself look like a simple troll is beyond me.

Na, just the fact that as a actual installer I have dealt with them a lot more than any single customer or owner has. No obsession just a like for alpine.

You can not tell me that pico fuse is not sensitive. ;) :icon14:

The only “Troll” on this 370Z owner’s Forum is the one who consistently bashes all Pioneer Products! Do you bash Pioneer on your Altima Forum??

Are you a “MECP certified installer”?
MECP stands for “Mobile Electronics Certified Professional” I’m guessing not…….it has a written exam!!

You can not tell me that pico fuse is not sensitive. ;) :icon14:

Pico fuse problem on the Pioneer DEX P99………….are you really serious? How many DEX P99 have you installed??

bigaudiofanat 04-16-2012 07:02 AM

You know there in most higher end pioneers right?

You do know that certification does not really do much. It is like a marriage certificate nothing changes. You do not need one to be a good installer. To bot, even if I did/had the Certification. You would still give me crap. So in the end there is no making a troll happy.

And yes I warn people of the potential problems they could encounter for owning one.

This is not the place to start an argument. Start a thread and we can go from there.
