New Custom made sub box. Zenclosure style. Lots of pictures.

Just spent the weekend building this box for my sub. Took a bunch of pics to share with everyone. Let me know what you think! Took a lot longer than I thought it would, but I took my time and it came out pretty nice I think.

How does it sound I'm pushing the Alpine Type R too but I think my enclosure box is too small I'm not getting good deep bass.

How large is your box? What kind of power are you giving it? The type r and type x's are very power hungry.

Pushing 500 through it

I didn't measure the box but it is pretty big. I actually think it is too big because the bass is too deep for my liking. I am thinking about putting some pillow stuffing in it or attempting to seal some more of the box.

pillow stuffing will have the opposite affect. It will slow down that rear wave even more and make the box seem larger. If you want to make your enclosure smaller without rebuilding than you will need to place something solid inside the box to take up some of the volume. This should certainly lower the qtc of the enclosure and tighten up the response

The box I had in there was .7 cu ft I changed it out for a box that measures 2.1 cu. ft. Sounds alot better. Now I'm gonna need to find a way to keep my amp cooler. We placed it right behind the driver seat in the little storage compartment.

2.1cuft ported i hope. That would be an extremely large sealed enclosure for a type r and would greatly reduce mechanical power handling.

 Yeah its ported I have too take some pics and post them we put a bridge through the box as well to get a better deep bass sound. Its rectangular in shape and takes up almost all my trunk space. I was hoping to find something I could just purchase, plug and play kinda thing.
