Problem with car nav system.
Whats going on fellas!
Well just recently my Pioneer AVIC-F7010BT started acting funny. It starts to boot up, then it just resets itself and starts the whole process over again. I searched online to see what the problem might be and found that the 'firmware' might be corrupt. I ordered a update from them which was free to hopefully fix the problem, but no joy. I tried multiple times to update it, but every single time it reaches 98% it says 'copying error'. Don't really know what to do about it anymore. I can't really find too much about that model navi. I think it maybe time to buy a new one. If so, which one do you recommend? I was thinking about the Kenwood excelon (Kenwood - DNX9980HD). I don't need anything crazy, just something with Nav and connects with Iphone. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! |
I pre-ordered the Kenwood 9990HD from Wicked C.A.S.

Welcome to the problem world of pioneer!!!
I would look at kenwood, clarion, and alpine. If I were you I would wait until all the new models are out in a few months, or snag a older moder for a cheaper price. |
Hey big,
Why dontcha re-post that link of the new Alpine for the man? |
So I guess pioneer is known for problems lol! It's been about 10 years since I've been in the audio scene.
Thanks for the info! I'll take a look at clarion and alpine too. I totally forgot about those brands :shakes head:. |
I really like the NX702!
