JL, Alpine or Focal Speakers

I installed an Alpine DDX418 (sidenote, nice HU for the $, doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but if you want a decent DD without Nav, I like it) this past weekend to replace the base model head unit and coming up in the next week or two I'd like to add some amps and speakers. I already know I'm going with JL amps. But I'm still trying to make a decision on speakers. So if you own or have at least heard these specific speaker models I'd be interested in your opinion.

And in making this decision, I'm looking for an affordable system that will be sonically good and a nice upgrade over the factory junk speakers, not ridiculously loud. I'm not trying to win competitions or share my music with my entire development. Yes, I know JL ZR speakers are awesome and so are W7's, I've owned them before, but that isn't what I'm looking to do, so recommending stuff like that won't be helpful.

JL C2-650, Alpine SPR-60C, Polk MM6501, or Focal 165 VR for the doors.

And if I add a subwoofer I'm looking at something prefabricated, small and punchy but not a ton of bass, so I'm considering these two models: Alpine SBR-S83V or JL CP108LG-W3-3 MicroSub.

What amp are you going to use to power them?

I would go with Focal over JL

I plan on going with the JL XD500/3, just to keep it clean and simple.

There good amps, I have used them before.

The 500/3 is relatively new to the XD lineup, isn't it? I remember checking the JL site a few months ago and I don't remember seeing it. At that time I thought I'd have to go with two separate amps in the XD 200/2 and the XD 300/1. Regardless, it seems like the perfect amp for for the Z for anyone looking to install a decent system that isn't over the top.
