New Headunit Help

I recently ordered a Kenwood dnx 9960 and a metra dash kit. Do I need a wiring harness and antenna adaptor? Or does that come with the HU?..I'm a little confused. I've done plenty of installs before, but I just wanted to make sure before everything came in the mail.

The harness does not "come with it" by default. It depends who / where you ordered it from.. if its crutchfield then you are ok as long as you had selected the right car. I got mine from Wicked CAS on here and i made sure over the phone that they would send the harness. After that I bought 2 more 9960's from crutchfield and they send the harness by default.

Gd-luck.

you might be able to call the retailer you got the HU from and ask them to include it... however if you have already paid it might be difficult to do so.

You will also have to get a antenna adapter too.

I ordered and hooked this up for the antenna adapter:

Amazon.com: Scosche NAA2B 2007 Nissan Antenna Adapter: Car Electronics

I also ordered a wire harness adapter so I didn't have to cut up the stock wire harness and did the soldering inside the house:

*side note: When you solder the remote for the antenna adapter, solder in the blue and white wire (radio booster) with it. This helps with fm radio reception.
