possible to just get 370z coupe with nav?

I saw on their website, you HAVE to have the touring edition for the navigation package...
Is it possible to do it with a dealer or something to get the nav package for base 370z? It would save me a lot! Or is there a way to get the nav package online and have it installed separately?

Just go with an aftermarket doubled-in with Nav.

Yea, have to get the touring to get that factory system. Retrofitting it is a real PITA, if not impossible. The nav package adds a lot of electrical items, and has a completely different center stack console, radio, and climate control interface.

Best bet, if you don't want the touring, just install an aftermarket system.

whats a good aftermarket system? Basically I want to find one that works as great as the 370z's touring one...
I just can't justify paying an additional 4000 or so for touring and then a nav package.

Yeah....4000$ for seude seats and then even more money for Nav. rofl

The only way to get the factory nav is to get the entire bose system which just stinks save the time and hassle and get a good aftermarket system. Alpine and kenwood are my picks.

Pretty much this.

The stock navi offers a level of integration that isn't available in any aftermarket unit, but it comes at a pretty steep price: ~$6k over a base model.
It's a lot of money for the electronics and interior, even if it is one of the best factory nav systems available.

Yea, that is a major discussion all over this forum. It's all a matter of preference. I, like a few other members, felt that the level of integration of the stock navi was worth the cost. No aftermarket unit will integrate to the cars computer like the stock. And, no other unit will visually fit the interior as well as the stock, both in style and loction. :twocents: The Bose system is not the best, but it works just fine for me, and I took it for what it is to get the nav. I have ABSOLUTELY no regrets going for the stock nav and Bose system. :tiphat:

I had to have heated leather and nav, so I went Touring. Otherwise I would have gone Nismo.:p I can't suggest a good aftermarket, but there are plenty of threads about different units if you have some time to do a search and read them.

wow thanks for the input! I guess Touring it is then!

I'm hoping maybe I can find a 2011 touring with nav, that way the price will be a bit cheaper!

Otherwise I'm looking at 800 a month to finance one according to their online payment calculator!><

No problem! Get what makes you happy. You can definitely go cheaper with a base model and aftermarket. But I KNOW that I would not have been happy with that. I bought my 2007 350Z as base, and regretted it, and the stock nav in that year wasn't as nice as the one for the 2011. Backup camera included in 2011, Music Box (HDD), USB & RCA plugs in center console cubby, DVD player, 6 Disc and all integrated. :happydance: Makes me happy.:roflpuke2:

Plenty of preowned options out there... I am no where near that payment since I bought a 40th 1 year older (it was mint too).

Buy a used one. You can get them with very low mileage and save yourself a considerable amount!
