Question about door speakers

Hey guys,
I am planning to buy these door speakers

JL Audio VR650-CSi Component Systems at Onlinecarstereo.com

my question is will they fit in the doors without the wooden brackets or will I need to buy some?

Thanks in advance

It may fit however the holes for the speakers may not be straight with the factory holes I would just use the MDF spacers to be safe no cons to using them.

I would recommend Alpine SPR-60C for front speakers and tweeters. They work perfectly without spacers or anything! Not only that, the sound comes out smoothly as expected. Thumbs up for ALPINE! Also, thanks to bigaudiofanat for the recommendations!

I to would choose alpine over JL because of their price. However there will always be a better set of speakers and it depends on what the OP is using to power them as well as his budget.

What are MDF spacers? I was planning on getting these wooden spacers but I have no idea which center hole size I should get :eekdance:

You got it, 5.75 is usually the ones I getand are fine. You go by your inner diameter of your woofer.
