So i got my airbag light to stop blinking as well but my SES is on now. Im hoping its something that will just go away after relearning the cycle after a few days or something but is this something common? I dont have any other mods....just installed my double din head unit, rear backup cam and satellite radio. Westwood, did you solve this issue??? |
Worked like a charm. First try. Thanks!!!

airbag light back on after a year.
Hey guys I had my airbag light turn on about a year after I installed my NRG carbon fiber seats. I placed the weight sensor underneath my seat instead of in between the cushion and the seats. I later removed my passenger seat for weight saving and just left the weight sensor on the floor. Well I let my brother sit in the passenger side floor because he wanted to se what it would feel like without a seat. He sat on the wires and weight sensor in the process so that could be one reason why my light came back on. OR it could be that a drop of water got into the 4.7ohm resistor on the driver side, since it rained last night and the wires wire visible when I opened the door.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is be a lot more careful than I am with these sensitive wires and sensors. Luckily no damage was done to the weight sensor. I have no idea what that part would have cost me. All I did was put in new resistors (on both sides) and reset the airbags. Worked fine with all chimes. OH! And If anyone is need of these resistors just PM me and I can send a few out to you. I bought a pack of about 100 and they're just kinda sitting in a drawer somewhere. Would like to help anyone in need of these little suckers. Haha |
