Upgrading Bose Subwoofer In Spare Tire Well

Has anyone attempted to dissect the Bose subwoofer located in the spare tire well? It would be nice to learn:

1. What size?
2. How many? (specs indicate 2 subs, can't imagine how)
3. Are the speakers upgradable?

I really want to get more bass into my Z, but I don't want to start butchering the factory Bose harness on this car only a few weeks after buying it.

Any insight would be great. Pics would be even better!

You'll need to do lots of mod work since the design is proprietary. Even if you could fit something inside it, it wouldn't sound good because the box is not engineered for it.

does the 370 use a free air sub like the 350? or is an actual sealed enclosure? either way you would have to measure the volume of the box and get a sub to match. You will also probably have to get a new amp, from experience with most cars with factory bose systems, you have to change everything to change anything
