audio setup Qs....amp now or wait for HU

I'm in a bit of a pickle and need some advice.

I recently got my car back from the shop and will need to spend $600 on a clearbra and tint, so I cannot justify spending $800 on a HU right now.

I already have some Polk db6501s in the doors and really really need them to be louder, plus i dont want to ruin them by having 4watts pushing them for much longer.

My set-up when finished will probably be a Kenwood dnx6180, polks in the front and a 8" or shallow 10" in the spare tire.

for an amp i was considering the Apline MRP 300 if it will push the sub enough.

So, should i go ahead and spend $160 on the amp (which i can justify) and hook the polks to it to satisfy my craving for now, or wait 6mos or so and get the HU? Im buying a amp at some point anyways, hopefully the MRP 300 can push a shallow poineer 10 or kenwood sub....

Thoughts, suggestions....?

Wait and do it all at once.

Get your self a better amp.
Atleast a multichannel and you don't have to worry about it later on.
Hit me up when you are ready, I will hook you up.

There are also places like woofers etc and amazon if you want to get best bang for the buck for your supplies.

Sure if you want to get equipment with no manufacturer warranties in most cases.

If I carry it in stock you will not be disappointed with my prices.
AND I SPONSOR THE FORUM.

Last time time i checked I did to "sponsor the forum" and I have never had a problem with those sites, and my years of doing installs and no amp or speakers have been broke. :tiphat:

Thanks for the advice. I have been monitoring those sites and will check with them and I will check with wicked when the time comes. There is also a local shop that has a good deal on the kenwood dnx 6180 for $680 and they are a authorized seller!

I think I will wait and get the hu first since I'm still not sure what sub and how much power I will need.
