Low end HU for Nismo
 

Im looking for a basic upgrade to the factory HU. Im looking for a double din unit that has a little power, has a usb/ipod/ipad support. I have speakers, sub amp and sub woofers. What I have found is the clarion CX501 and JVC KW-HDR720 and what Im asking is- Is there something else I should be looking at?

I am not looking to make an ultimate system as my money is going towards performance ugrades, so using what I have from my old system and upgrading the hu is about all I want to do.

make sure the HU of your choice works with the steering wheel controls if you intend to use them. personally i went with the pioneer doubledin's. works great with the PAC-PS remote module...and rear view camera. :)

the JVC is your best bet. i was actually going to go that route as well, but ended up getting a pioneer double din navi for a steal.

Pioneer pioneer f700bt it's a couple years old but it is more than enough...

Or the 900bt

I've been hearing that the clarion model u mentioned has had a couple problems, heard nothing bad about the jvc unit. If that helps

The Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD is a good HU.. :tup:

Jvc or a older model kenwood would do you fine. If you want steering wheel controls go for the axxess.

There are no problems with the Clarion CX501. Not sure what you heard. It works perfectly, I very highly recommend this low end H.U.

I have a JVC KW-R900BT. Works well. Lots of features for the price.
