Im pretty sure you have to use the mic jack on the phone, right? Then connect to what point on the car? The audio jacks in the console??

I take it I have to find a cable that has a mic jack on one side and a/v cables on the other?

Hmmmmm well thats the cable I figured id need. Im feeling real dumb because I have no idea where my aux in is on the car, ive never seen it. All ive seen are the ipod connection and a/v jacks in the center console. Where the hell is the input on the car?
there should only b one place to plug anything on the stock stereo. to the right of the volume button... didnt drive the car today so cant check
right above the righthand AC knob

and if you don't have that input, what year and trim package do you have?
If you have an 09 with nav, I think you are screwed. |
I do have an 09 w nav!!!! I knew there wasnt a aux jack in there. Pretty retarded its fully loaded and dont come w that:( Laaaaaammmeeeee
yea that really sucks
No other way to do it huh? Well thanks for the help anyway guys
you could put a new HU in... thats what im doing for my apple products
The Nav unit doesn't have bluetooth either? I connect my phone to my nav (kenwood) via bluetooth so I don't have to deal with any cables.

Idk I heard that people couldnt get it to work w bluetooth and that it required using the mic jack. But if I could get the bluetooth to work that would be sweet!
My friend said you have to sink Bluetooth audio in the jn settings. I'm not sure where that is cause I don't have navi, but I have seen it work in his g37.

that or invest in an fm transmitter that plugs in to your headphone jack on your phone. some are battery powered but if you don't mind cables everywhere you can get them that plug in to a litgher socket.
My Droid X streams Pandora just fine to my '11 with nav. Make sure you go into the Bluetooth settings and check "audio" as well as phone. Also make sure you go under options on your phone while in Pandora and select "streaming audio through Bluetooth". Any music you have loaded on your phone will stream as well, it will even show the artist, album, and song titles on the nav screen which is cool.

It is kind of unfortunate, but an 09 with nav only works with apple stuff, unless you get an adapter, or run through the stereo jack. If it makes you feel any better, it doesn't work well with my iphone either, since you have to run an adapter to charge it while playing. |
