Im pretty sure you have to use the mic jack on the phone, right? Then connect to what point on the car? The audio jacks in the console??

Use the headphone jack and put on the aux on in your car,and your all set to go.

Alchemy 05-05-2011 11:07 AM

I take it I have to find a cable that has a mic jack on one side and a/v cables on the other?

leighspped 05-05-2011 11:33 AM

no and aux to aux cable. any electronic store should be able to help and get you to the right cable

It's a single cable both ends are the same. Go to best buy or radio shack to get one

Alchemy 05-05-2011 12:25 PM

Hmmmmm well thats the cable I figured id need. Im feeling real dumb because I have no idea where my aux in is on the car, ive never seen it. All ive seen are the ipod connection and a/v jacks in the center console. Where the hell is the input on the car?

leighspped 05-05-2011 12:38 PM

there should only b one place to plug anything on the stock stereo. to the right of the volume button... didnt drive the car today so cant check

cheshirecat 05-05-2011 12:50 PM

right above the righthand AC knob

or just to the left of the "6" preset

Red__Zed 05-05-2011 12:57 PM

and if you don't have that input, what year and trim package do you have?

If you have an 09 with nav, I think you are screwed.

Alchemy 05-05-2011 02:17 PM

I do have an 09 w nav!!!! I knew there wasnt a aux jack in there. Pretty retarded its fully loaded and dont come w that:( Laaaaaammmeeeee

leighspped 05-05-2011 02:42 PM

yea that really sucks

Alchemy 05-05-2011 04:15 PM

No other way to do it huh? Well thanks for the help anyway guys

leighspped 05-05-2011 04:17 PM

you could put a new HU in... thats what im doing for my apple products

nabenson 05-05-2011 04:34 PM

The Nav unit doesn't have bluetooth either? I connect my phone to my nav (kenwood) via bluetooth so I don't have to deal with any cables.

There is a way to do it my friend has a 10 g37 ,and he streams it through blue tooth. I am going to and him how to do it through the navigation for you.

Alchemy 05-05-2011 06:12 PM

Idk I heard that people couldnt get it to work w bluetooth and that it required using the mic jack. But if I could get the bluetooth to work that would be sweet!

Mr.Squeeze 05-05-2011 06:20 PM

My friend said you have to sink Bluetooth audio in the jn settings. I'm not sure where that is cause I don't have navi, but I have seen it work in his g37.

You have RCA inputs right next to the IPOD plug. It won't play video if you're driving but it will play audio.

No problem man my friend has a droid as well, I know it will work keep at it you will get it.

samb03 05-07-2011 05:16 AM

that or invest in an fm transmitter that plugs in to your headphone jack on your phone. some are battery powered but if you don't mind cables everywhere you can get them that plug in to a litgher socket.

svmtbman 05-07-2011 08:34 AM

My Droid X streams Pandora just fine to my '11 with nav. Make sure you go into the Bluetooth settings and check "audio" as well as phone. Also make sure you go under options on your phone while in Pandora and select "streaming audio through Bluetooth". Any music you have loaded on your phone will stream as well, it will even show the artist, album, and song titles on the nav screen which is cool.

I don't think the 09s support streaming music.

By that, I meant they do not. Our owner's manual mentions that.

It is kind of unfortunate, but an 09 with nav only works with apple stuff, unless you get an adapter, or run through the stereo jack.

If it makes you feel any better, it doesn't work well with my iphone either, since you have to run an adapter to charge it while playing.

Open Pandors on your Droid and then open the settings (bottom left button on your phone) and then select preferences and you will see this option. It's called Bluetooth for Automotive.

You can't stream to the 09 nav.

Alchemy 05-07-2011 06:20 PM

I think my only option is gonna be buying an aux to rca cable and tryin it that way.

or you could get an iphone, pair it with a pioneer z130bt and sit back and enjoy while the HU syncs and displays all your stations via touchscreen. can also listen via bluetooth

the HU may actually work with droids as well, not sure on that point

Lol not gonna replace my HU & buy an iphone just to be able to stream pandora. The thousands id waste on audio would be just that, wasted. Im performance minded that $$$ would be better spent on go fast parts :)
