Which size of Compact Flash Adapter we using?
hey, which size of Compact Flash Adapter we using on our 370z?2.5" or 3.5"???
|
I'm not sure what you are asking. In my touring with nav I don't have a CF slot, just a standard USB port in the storage bin between the seats. I'm not sure about the base models. Now my wife's '08 G35 does have a CF slot.

ermmm....mine is nav too but i wondering below the right upper button got 1 thing can pull out right?what is that for?
|
I don't have that. Do you have a 2009? They made a change to the head units for the 2010 and 2011 models, maybe this is one of the differences.
|
oh ya...mine is 2009 unit...ok,now I see the difference d...http://autoworld.files.wordpress.com...rior-img_4.jpg http://2.photos.ebizautos.com/new-20...501-22-640.jpg

Yep, the 2009 has a CF player option as part of the Nav and an iPod interface instead of the USB interface.
I don't understand the 2.5" versus 3.5" question - CompactFlash doesn't come in those sizes, it comes in Type I and Type II - CF Type I is 3.3 mm thick and CF Type II cards are 5mm thick. Since we are limited to 512 songs, anything over a 4GB card is probably wasted, and you can probably get by with a lot smaller, depending on your MP3 bit rate. I use mine for my Christmas music. |
ya but we need a adapter to plug in to that big hole right? What about that?...I think 512songs are enough for me :)

I never got the nav package but originally wanted it...so this is what I had planned on getting for it as most of my memory cards laying around where of memory stick duo type.

this adapter can fix the big 1 at the player there?i dun think so man...hehe

You should possibly go do some homework/research before you come onto the boards and ask others for assistance and then totally dismiss someone's advice. I am merely trying to help you in your options. This adapter will work. So don't judge by the picture alone because you think it merely 'looks' to small to fit in the cf slot in your car. I apparently did my research before even owning the vehicle, whereas you haven't done any after owning the vehicle. I would list the specs/dimensions on it to prove to you how big it is, but you know...I'm not going to waste my time...go do it yourself.

You pull the cover out, you (carefully) insert the CompactFlash card and then you play music! No adapters needed at all (except to load the CF card attached to your PC). :happydance: |
