Screws for removing OEM base head unit from factory bracket

This might sound like a stupid question, but are the screws that hold the OEM HU to the factory mounting brackets phillips-head or something funky like Torx?

Doing a new HU install tonight and want to make sure I have the right tools...

Thanks!

Haven taken apart over 12 370z's I know the stock ones are torx and not philips. However your aftermarket screws will be philips.

They are Phillips screws not Torx:shakes head:

Actually...I just did my 2010 a few onths ago and they were indeed torx.

Sounds like your talking about different screws. The screws that secure the factory HU to the factory bracket are Torx, the screws that secure the bracket to the car are phillips. The factory bracket is not reused so you don't need to remove this bracket anyway.

They were definitely torx
