Technically you can make any tweeter fit, just depends where you want to mount it.

Just out of curiosity. Why did you choose Cadence?

I bought the polk db6501 and the tweeters were to small and didn't fit. I was trying to cut out the stock tweeter and put the polks in with the stand it comes with but even that was to loose. I'm hoping these will fit right in. but there was no reason I chose this brand just went off the materials. I got it today thinking the price was for 2 tweeters and was in shock when I just got 1. Why....are they bad?

seriously...you bought a whole new set of tweeters just because they didnt fit? you're supposed to make an adapter plate. go to home depot and buy a sheet of 1/4" MDF, make an outline of the tweeter, cut the hole and drop the tweeter in. screw that adapter into the existing screw holes.

total time/cost: 15min to cut, spray paint (black) and screw in; $5

LOL uh yeah, it was late and I wasn't really thinking. I mean these tweeters or should I say tweeter is very good quality. If it fits perfectly ill just buy one more, if not ill just send it back and go the make it yourself route....but thank you. I'm just curious if it will fit the screw holes. I guess ill find out in a few hours....

Just make a adapter plate those tweeters are not even going to sound right being powered off a polk crossover.

I kind of told my friend he could have them, so it's a bit of a last resort for me. What would make them sound right?

Buying a head unit that goes active and totally redo the system with a amp running new speakers and those tweeters.

Or run the tweeters directly off a amp with high pass filter on and set.

Trust me something that BRIGHT is not going to sound right. They are more made for competition for something like bass wars.

I would get your polks back asap and make a bracket.

All you needed to do was insert a bunch of silicon between the Bose factory piece you cut, and the Polk tweeter bracket with the tweeter inside. Keep your Polk tweets and give your friend the one you just bought, then all he needs is one more.

Maybe this is an early april fools joke.:ugh2:

If you are trying to mix up different speakers and tweeters your going about it all wrong. You need to start with a solid head unit fallowed by either a sound processor or have the head unit go active. Or even as i said before let the amp use its built in crossover. However it is not going to end pretty if you start trying different tweeters and horns with a polk crossover.

As we have said prior to this post. Ask your friend for the tweeters back and install them. I would hate for you to start throwing money away.
