DIY request - Headunit / Speaker Install instructions

Has anyone done a DIY on the following 2 items:

Replacment of the head unit with a double DIN touch screen replacement on the BASE system opening?

ALSO

Has anyone done a DIY on the replacement of the door speakers?

What I am looking for is the complete breakdown from start to finish with obviously some pictures to assist in this process.

Thanks.

I'll second the request for photos of DIY door speaker replacement.

As for speakers, ask the Amplified guys or visit their thread.

I've seen everything (much appreciated) but a photo shoot of the door panel disassembly with shots of the speaker out. I've got 6.5 components and I'd like to see how far they sink in, and where the clips are.
It looks like the setup would benefit from some door speaker pods. I'm building an enclosure for a 8" JL subwoofer, and I will post pictures when it's done.

Only a handful has done speaker installations with the 370Z. Since the car is so new everyone's a guinea pig.

I don't even have the car and I already bought my components after doing research on my own. Plus, I had a 350Z so that sorta helps. It's up to me to figure out the fitment, and the best I can do is report to everyone about whether my setup will work or not. First... gotta get through this rough month before taking delivery of my Z. Worse comes to worse, I might have to bail everything.

Hey dude I just picked up an 8" JL myself. What do you plan on doing. I am going to try to mold the inside of the, actual spare tire and see where that gets me. I don't want to loose trunk space and I want it to look as stock as possible through the windows..

That's what I'm doing. My JL 8" subwoofer only needs .375 cubic feet, so I'm making a circular chamber that fits in the spare tire, only sticks up 5/8"
