DNX9960 GPS Voices?

Good Morning, I've got a Kenwood DNX9960 head unit installed in my car and wanted to change the voice for the GPS. I had added one voice I downloaded from garmins website and it works fine but is even more annoying then the original voices so I got a few different ones from a site called pigtones but I cant get them to work? They refunded my money but I'm not sure what would stop them from working so I was hoping there might still be a chance?

I have .vpm files that I copied into the voice folder, same as I did with the one from garmin. But with these when it starts to talk the music dims and then it just stays that way as if it's endlessly waiting for the GPS to finish talking. Could there be some sort of formatting issue or some other problem with the way the files are made? Or even a limit to how many I can have on the unit, could I just delete the voices for other languages perhaps?

Also I left the USB cable plugged in the back of the radio (mini usb for the GPS) but that wouldn't make any difference right?

Thanks

I don't have an answer for you, but you might also check on Kenwood's forums. There's a lot a real good info there.

Thanks, nothing came up in a quick search but I'll have to dig through there.

I figure it has to be some sort of compiling error or something though, probably nothing I can do about it
