New iPhone4, need help with phonebook

I have a 2009 with Nav, just picked up an iPhone4 today. Trying to figure out how get my phonebook (contacts) downloaded into the Nav system. From what I am gathering on the forum, I may be SOL. True? Also, I haven't tried plugging in the center console harness to listen to music off the iPhone yet (haven't loaded my iTunes library onto it yet). I think I remember hearing somewhere that the power requirements for the iPhone4 and the iPod Classic (which I currently own) are different, and I am worried that I may damage the iPhone4 by plugging it into this harness. Any thoughts?

No you are completely fine plugging the New Iphone 4 into the car harness. I do it all the time and it sounds and works great.

They both run through USB2, so the power requirements are the same.

So I plugged it in, sounds great but doesn't charge. So I found an extension harness at best buy called re:volt that reduces the voltage from 12v to 5v, will try that. Still no luck importing my phonebook into the 370nav system

any luck with that extension? curious to see how that works... I tried looking on bestbuy website, but couldn't find anything.

When I went to purchase at bestbuy's website it ended up not being available. But there are a couple different ones available on amazon; I have the first one here:

Amazon.com: Peripheral / PAC IS710 5 Volt Charging Adapter for iPod/iPhone: Electronics

Amazon.com: ISIMPLE IS712 iPod 12 Volt to 5 Volt Charging Converter: Electronics

It works great. I still get a "this accessory is not compatible with this device" when I plug it in, but it plays my iphone through the factory system just the same as my ipod classic, and it now charges it at the same time. Isimple makes another ipod cable that I am interested in; it has the 30-pin connector on the ipod end, but a triple RCA output on the opposite end. I would be curious to see if you could get the factory nav screen to mirror the iphone screen using this cable, plugging the RCAs into the factory RCA inputs in the center console. I'm sure it's not that simple, but curious to find out.
